You'll also learn how an actor interacts on a film set as well as vital audition techniques. Your week culminates in filming a scene in front of the camera.
- Animation + Visual Effects - July 24 to 28 - $825 (CAD)
This Summer Intensive features five days of exploring the processes, history, and potential of animation. You will get hands-on experience of the whole animation & VFX pipeline! Starting with concept art like storyboards and character designs, you will learn classical animation techniques, as well as pose and form, while creating a 3D model and exploring cutting-edge 3D tools to animate objects.
- Film Production - July 10 to 14 or July 17 to 21- $825 (CAD)
The five-day program introduces you to filmmaking as you take a project from script to screen. Alternating between lectures and hands-on production, you’ll bring a story to life and learn about writing short scripts. In a collaborative environment, you’ll operate HD cameras, attend production meetings, and work with actors to shoot a scene. The week culminates in a screening with an industry panel critique.

Designed for those interested in a game industry career, these five days give a one-of-a-kind opportunity to experience the role of a game designer. Explore the game development process from concept to completion and get hands-on experience in game art, level design, storytelling, and programming software. Come prepared to bring characters to life in Unity and explore 2D gaming by prototyping your very own online game.
- Introduction to Film, Animation + Design (Foundation) - July 10 to 14 - $500 (CAD)
This five-day Summer Intensive explores the processes and programs required to successfully take your ideas and transform them into digital stories. You will learn how various media arts disciplines intersect to deliver a powerful creative final Project. Led by our industry faculty, each class has a hands-on component that contributes to the development of your artistic practice.
- Makeup Design for Film + Television - July 31 to August 4 - $825 (CAD)
This five-day Summer Intensive will introduce you to the facets of makeup design through a series of classes with lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on work. You’ll cover basic highlight and shadow techniques as well as corrective and beauty principles before moving on to character makeup. You’ll try out-of-kit effects like cuts, bruises and scars, as well as facial hair applications. On the final day, you’ll learn the three techniques for creating and applying tattoos.
